A 45-year-old man who died when a retaining wall collapsed at a construction site in Brisbane has been remembered as an "amazing father" who "filled rooms with laughter".
Kimura Dixon was killed and his 19-year-old stepson sustained serious injuries after becoming trapped during the collapse at West End on Tuesday morning.
In a statement, Mr Dixon's family said his death was "so sudden and tragic", adding "he would have done anything if it meant he could come home to us".

"All we can think about was how excited he would've been to be able to work to provide for the household," they said.
"He filled rooms with laughter and especially love.
"I hope he wasn't scared and didn't suffer, I just wish we all could've said goodbye."
Mr Dixon was declared dead at the scene and his stepson was trapped for over an hour under rubble before he was freed.
The 19-year-old was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a serious but stable condition, with family expecting him to make a full recovery.

The tragedy unfolded a day after 15-year-old Beau Bradford died in a separate worksite incident on the Gold Coast.
In a statement, the CFMEU said it "was shocked and saddened by the two workplace fatalities within two days".

"The CFMEU extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends and coworkers, and wishes the injured worker a full recovery," it said of the West End incident.
The site where the incident occurred has been earmarked for social housing development, with a proposal submitted to the Queensland Ministerial Infrastructure Designations earlier this year.
Construction of 56 residential units across eight levels began in September and is estimated to take 15 months to complete, according to public documents.
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland investigations are continuing.
