Tara Cheyne sent the text message to the ABC Canberra Breakfast program in September, only wanting to be referred to as "a Labor MLA". (ABC News: Matt Roberts)

In short:

Tara Cheyne was found to have breached the MLA's code of conduct when she sent an anonymous text disparaging Elizabeth Lee to ABC Radio Canberra.

The legislative assembly's standards commissioner Ken Crispin made the ruling after investigating a complaint from Ms Lee about Ms Cheyne's conduct.

Ms Cheyne has since apologised to Ms Lee and has also apologised to the assembly.
