Experts unsure why sea snake deaths are increasing at Shark Bay World Heritage site

The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions says 15 dead sea snakes were collected in October from Nanga Bay, in WA.

Residents in Carnarvon have spotted stranded snakes on their beaches, and some residents have also found dead turtles.

What's next?

A DBCA spokesperson says samples of the dead sea snakes will have further testing done.
