In short:

A newly described species of bloodroot has been named after the Australian rotary clothesline invention.

The "Hills hoist clothesline" bloodroot is one of three newly identified species from New South Wales.

Several new kangaroo paw species, which are in the same family as bloodroots, have also been recently named.
