Program: All hail SA's new Cherry King as first box goes for $65k

Space to play or pause, M to mute, left and right arrows to seek, up and down arrows for volume.

The first box of cherries this season went under the hammer at the SA Wholesale Produce Market in Pooraka, raising money for Variety - the Children's Charity.

After a bidding war, John Antoniadis was crowned the Cherry King, the first in three years after back-to-back Cherry Queens.

"I don't think John was fully aware of what was going to happen", Roving Reporter Troy Sincock said to Sonya & Jules. "He's now adorned in this long, velvet cape".
