In short:

Schoolboy Terry Floyd, 12, was abducted and murdered in 1975 while waiting for a lift in Victoria's Central Highlands.

The Labor government promised his family in 2017 it would fund the search for the boy's remains.

The family say both the premier and police minister have dismissed multiple requests for further funding over the past year.
