Two interstate bushwalkers stranded overnight in severe weather conditions at Mount Anne in Tasmania's remote Southwest National Park have been winched to safety.
A rescue helicopter was able to reach the women on Tuesday morning after conditions improved.
Police said the pair were being assessed by paramedics and appeared to be in good health.
The women, aged 22 and 23, called triple-0 at about 6:20pm on Monday, police said.
"The two women … reported being reasonably prepared with a tent, sleeping bags, emergency blanket and food," search controller Callum Herbert said.
"But, worsening weather meant they were cold, wet and unable to continue their journey."

Senior Constable Herbert said the rescue helicopter had been unable to reach the site on Monday, known as "The Notch", due to strong winds, low cloud and poor visibility.
"A search party of police and wilderness paramedics attempted to reach the area on foot overnight," he said.
"But the group was forced to retreat back to Memorial Hut shortly before 3am, when conditions deteriorated further, with winds exceeding 100 kilometres per hour and heavy snowfall."
