Landholders in the NSW Snowy Mountains are calling for more support to help manage the weed African lovegrass.

The invasive species has been taking over pastures and choking out native grasslands since it started spreading in the region half a century ago. 

What's next?

A local action group wants farmers to be able to develop individual farm management plans, arguing current laws incentivise landholders to let the weed spread.
