How to watch the 2025 Primetime Emmys in Australia

US television's night of nights is fast approaching and Apple TV+ show Severence is the stand-out, with 27 nominations, including for Best Drama.
The 77th Annual Primetime Emmys will broadcast live from Los Angeles's Peacock Theater, with winners chosen by 26,000 performers, directors, producers and other members of the Television Academy.
Here's when they're on and how to watch.
When are the 2025 Primetime Emmys?
The Primetime Emmys will take place on the evening of September 14 in LA, which is 10am AEST on September 15 in Australia.
If you're interested in the frocks, the red carpet pre-show will kick off about 9am AEST.

Who will host the 2025 Primetime Emmys?
For the first time, American comedian Nate Bargatze will host the Emmys this year.
He has hosted Saturday Night Live twice and won a Grammy for best comedy album.

Sydney Sweeney and Stephen Colbert are among some of the famous faces tapped to present at this year's Emmys.

Are there other Emmys?
Yes, there are several other Emmy award ceremonies that recognise different sectors of the television industry and take place at different times.
As well as the Primetime Emmys there are, Daytime, Sports, News & Documentary, and International Emmys, in addition to various Regional Emmy Awards.
The Creative Arts Emmys, which celebrate technical and artistic achievements in prime-time television, also took place this week.
They generally honour behind-the-scenes crews the week before stars of the same shows take to the stage for the prime-time ceremony.
