In short:

Almost 7,000 women are diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer in Australia every year, many of which are characterised by low survival rates.

To improve awareness and reduce delays in diagnosis, survivors and caregivers are sharing their stories with student doctors and nurses across the country.

What's next?

More gynaecological cancer research is needed to improve early detection and treatment options, particularly for rare types of cancer.
