In short:

The three commissioners who were appointed to run PNG's anti-corruption watchdog have been suspended following a feud in which they accused each other of criminal offences.

The development has been labelled a "major blow" to PNG's fledgling Independent Commission Against Corruption, which has only made one arrest and no prosecutions since it was established in 2023.

What's next?

A former interim chairman and two Supreme Court judges have been appointed as acting commissioners but have yet to take up their positions.
